Late enrollment will remain open until Wednesday the 20th, so there is still time to join us in our endeavor. Simply contact the Headmistress if you wish to do so.
Sarah L. Crowder, current headmistress of Vacation Necronomicon School, was once a pupil at the prestigious Miskatonic Academy for Girls -- though she did not graduate, as the school closed under mysterious circumstances shortly before her studies were completed. She spent many years contemplating both the arcane arts and hidden dimensions of commonplace life, and now lends her talents to our little online haven for workaday scholars.
Join us as we explore the writing of H. P. Lovecraft and work inspired by the mythos he created. We will post one assignment per day for 13 unholy days, beginning 18 July 2011. These short projects will encompass many topics, including literary criticism, personal reflection, pop culture, and arts and crafts. This year we shall conclude our exercise on 30 July 2011 by sharing a composition inspired by an idea in Lovecraft's own commonplace book.
Think of it as a doomed expedition to an eerie land of madness and decay, an exercise in pseudo-intellectual discourse, or just day camp for your twisted inner child.
We are all doomed. Cthulhu fhtagn.
H. P. Lovecraft died penniless. Please help the Headmistress to avoid following in his footsteps.
